Southampton reveal quiet January transfer window

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino admits he is unlikely to be dealing in the January transfer window. "We're not really concerned with the transfer window in January," he told the Daily Echo.

"We're really happy with the young players that are part of this team.

"We're really happy that the young players are actually partaking in the training sessions with the older players in the team and that they're getting a feel for what it is to be in the senior side.

"I think that gives us a very important equilibrium, a very important balance in the team, and we're really happy with their contribution, so we're not really looking toward the transfer window."

Pochettino also remained coy on reports that striker Rickie Lambert could set for a St Mary's exit.

"Rumours do exist," he said. "Probably this season we have rumours that concern from the president to the kit man.

"So we don't really know where all these rumours are coming from. So we need to be fully focused on our work and to be fully aware that this period is going to be full of rumours."
