Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin denies he wants to play for England.

Frenchman Schneiderlin opened the door to committing to England earlier this week.

But he told RTL: "These are the English tabloids. I answered a simple question. They asked me a bunch of questions about the national team.

"The next day, I open the newspaper and I see that I said that I wanted to play for England. This is completely false. These are the English tabloids.

"'I'll always want to wear the jersey of the team of France and not that of England.

"This is the dream of every player to come from France."
