Southampton midfielder Stuart Armstrong sustained an injury in his side's 3-1 home defeat to Portugal at Hampden Park.

Armstrong last started for the Saints in August. And he may be out of action for a few weeks.

The 26-year-old is suffering from a calf issue that saw him replaced in the second half of the game against Portugal.

Scotland are not having a very good spell, as they have lost their last two games. Those defeats came against Israel and a second string Portugal at home - further adding to the misery.
