Southampton manager Nathan Jones revealed that his side has a plan for bringing Romeo Lavia back into the starting lineup.

The young midfielder was back in action late in the 2-1 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage in the Premier League.

After the match, Jones claimed his side were unlucky to not get a point at the very least.

He was then asked about Lavia specifically and stated: "There are lots of young players in the team and a lot of players with real, top-end talent and we have to make sure that we look after those.

“We could have pushed Romeo but if he breaks down again.

“You know he's only made seven appearances this year and he wanted to play in our games more."
