Southampton defender Yan Valery has sought to shut down rumours of an approach from Tunisia.

A France youth international, Valery also qualifies for Tunisia and it's been claimed he has been approached by the Federation about switching international allegiances.

But Valery posted to social media: "I want to clarify definitively things, because for several months, I keep reading and hearing that the Tunisian federation and the coach contacted me, or that I accepted or refused to play with the Tunisian national team.

"Except that neither me nor my mother and even less my club or agent have been contacted by anyone. I beg you to stop spreading false rumors about me and to make sure of the truth of things before any publication in advance thank you."
