Southampton defender Perraud: Livrameno has big potential

Southampton defender Romain Perraud labelled Tino Livramento a very special player.

However, he believes that the youngster deserves time to find his fitness and best form as he recovers from injury.

Livramento is only 19, and is back in first-team training since an ACL injury that he sustained in April.

He had to go through with surgery on his knee, and has been working extensively with the Saints' B team and now first team in the past few weeks.

“They will be back soon and it is very nice for the team to have all the players fit. Especially Tino and Kyle [Walker-Peters, also approaching fitness], who are important for us," the Frenchman told the Daily Echo.

“I'm very happy for him because it is never easy when you are young to have a big injury like this. A few days ago, he was with us for the first time so it was emotional for him.

“He looked good, very strong and I think he will be back stronger than ever. This guy has big potential, so he needs time to come back and he will help us in the second half of the season."
