Southampton academy director Matt Hale is set to leave the club at the end of this season.

Hale is among many senior staff members who are departing their roles when this campaign concludes, whether they are relegated or not.

Per The Athletic, Dan Rice (head of youth recruitment), Matt Crocker (director of football), Joe Shields (head of recruitment) and Toby Steele (managing director) are all set to leave.

Assistant academy director Edd Vahid has already departed for a role with the Premier League.

Incoming director of football Jason Wilcox will be responsible for hiring several of the replacements for the above mentioned staff members.

The club does appear to be in a period of flux, with the future of manager Ruben Selles also not yet known.
