Socceroos boss Postecoglou slams critics: 'I'll always be an outsider in Australian football'

Australia coach Ange Postecoglou has slammed his critics following the Socceroos 3-1 win over Honduras that booked their place in the 2018 World Cup finals.

However, Postecoglou refused to comment on whether he would continue on as manager.

"I can coach for another twenty years and I'll always be an outsider in Australian football," he said.

"I don't have the glittering Socceroo career that you need but thats fine i'll wear it as a badge of honour as I keep saying to people.

"The more that comes my way, the more determined, resilient I am, to keep going down my own path, it's gone well for me so far; some people don't like it but to be fair I've had a lot of support from players, coaches and the general sporting public. The people that don't get me, don't get me and they'll never get me."
