Dutch great Wesley Sneijder has taken a swipe at Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.
Sneijer has been critical of Van Dijk this season and the pair attended FIFA's awards gala in Paris on Monday.
“He can't really take criticism, can he? So we have to take it easy a bit," Sneijders said on Veronica Offside.
“Virgil was there. I saw him from a distance. I don't think he was happy, I was a bit critical of him. He didn't come up to me. Oh yes, very important."
He also said, "There was little criticism of my game (when I played). But criticising the game should be possible, right? I had more trouble with things besides football. Things that were suggested. I didn't like that, but as a footballer… Virgil himself knows that he is in a lesser period, right?"
