Everton midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson is full of praise for their youngsters during their preseason camp in Switzerland.
Lewis Gibson, Nathan Broadhead, Fraser Hornby, Dennis Adeniran and Ryan Astley have all been given a chance to impress and sample life at first-team level, and Sigurdsson says they have been a credit to themselves since the team touched down in Valais Canton on Thursday.
"They've been good," he told evertonfc.com. "We saw last pre-season that we've got a lot of good young players and you saw it here today.
"This is their chance. A few of the players are still away and so they get an opportunity to play and get some minutes.
"Hopefully they can do well and challenge to get into the squad."
