Shorey insists West Brom returning to best form

West Bromwich Albion fullback Nicky Shorey feels they're returning to their best after drawing at Sunderland.

Shorey reckons Roy Hodgson's men showed signs of rediscovering top form.

"I think it is always a good point when you get it away at Sunderland, which is always a difficult place to go," the left-back told the WBA website.

"I think it was one of our best performances of late. We passed the ball really well and caused them a lot of problems, to be honest, especially in the first half.

"And in the second half we were quite comfortable. I know we were 2-0 up early, probably too early, but Sunderland were always going to have a spell at home when they put us under the cosh.

"After the first half we could have folded but we stood up to the test well and showed what we're made of. I thought we played some good stuff in the second half and we probably had more of the ball than them.

"It felt more like us. It felt more like the way we normally play with the way we were knocking the ball about."
