Tim Sherwood did want to let talk of his future as Tottenham manager get in the way of his side's 5-1 thrashing of Sunderland on Monday night.
Spurs fell a goal behind when Lee Cattermole struck for the Black Cats in the 17th minute at White Hart Lane but the north Londoners rallied courtesy of an Emmanuel Adebayor brace plus goals from Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
After the match, Sherwood was quizzed on whether or not he would remain as Spurs boss past this summer but he preferred to talk about the task at hand rather than what is on the horizon for he and the club.
"My future? I can't comment on anything on my employment, you will have to ask my employer about that," he told Sky Sports.
"As far as I'm concerned, I set the team out well tonight, we outplayed Sunderland. We knew it would be a tough game, because they have got their threats, and we've done the job well tonight. On to the next.
"We've got five games left and we think we can win all five games. We don't know where that might take us.
"All I was focused on was winning the game tonight, preparing the boys correctly. You've just got to be professional.
"It's been an opportunity to manage this great club and I'm relishing it. My record has been very good. In the Premier League, any manager who has been here, I think my win percentage is higher than any of them."
