Sheffield Wednesday want to sign outright Crystal Palace fullback Jack Hunt.

Sky Sports says Wednesday are closing in on the permanent signing of loanee Hunt from Crystal Palace.

The 25-year-old right-back joined the Owls on a season-long loan in July and has made 21 appearances so far, although he was an unused substitute for the FA Cup win over Fulham on Saturday.

He has clearly impressed boss Carlos Carvalhal with his performances and is now set to make a full-time move to Hillsborough after a transfer fee was agreed between the two clubs.
