Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross has welcomed their early transfer business.
Shawcross is adamant former Sunderland defender Phil Bardsley and ex-Hanover striker Mame Diouf can only strengthen Stoke's hand next season.
Bardsley has signed on a free after running out of contract on Wearside, and Diouf will do likewise shortly.
"They are good signings all round," said Shawcross to The Sentinel. "They are free signings, so no gambles there, and they are both very good players with a good history.
"They will hopefully add to our squad and improve us. And I'm sure we will add a few more."
