Sevilla coach Diego Alonso says he remains confident in his job.

Sevilla are yet to win under the Uruguayan coach.

He said: “I feel very confident in my work, in myself, in the players and in what we have done in the games, not in the results. I have never hidden it. I have seen the team play since the last FIFA date and I have seen, honestly, a team that has deserved to win most of the games but the football has been cruel.

"We need more efficiency and effectiveness is trained.

“The fans are going to be motivated to cheer for their club, their emblem. We on the field have to give them joy and satisfaction, which we have not yet been able to do. I am in charge of giving satisfaction and peace of mind to the fans. Our motivation is to give them the joy of going home calmly after the game. We cannot demand anything from the fans.

“I have not spoken about anything other than the trust and belief that the board has in my work. We need to win to improve everyone's confidence and that's where we have to go. We have to look for results so that there is stability. What's outside doesn't distract me or the team."
