Sassuolo striker Scamacca in London today after agreeing West Ham terms

Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca has agreed personal terms with West Ham United.

Sassuolo chief Giovanni Carnevali has already confirmed a West Ham offer has been accepted for the Italy international.

Scamacca was due to arrive in London on Monday and will undergo a medical before signing for last season's Europa League semi-finalists.

The 23-year-old scored 16 goals in 36 Serie A appearances last term and made his Italy debut in September, before going on to feature in the goalless Nations League draw against England at Molineux last month.

The Irons have already signed goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, defender Nayef Aguerd and midfielder Flynn Downes this summer, but Scamacca's arrival would finally mark the end of David Moyes' protracted search for a new centre-forward.
