River Plate midfielder Santiago Sosa's move to Premier League remains on.

The Mirror says Everton are closing in on a deal for Sosa.

The Argentine is currently away at the Under-20 World Cup but will then head to Merseyside to agree a deal.

Everton are likely to pay around £13m for the 20-year-old but face a battle to obtain a work permit.

The Argentina Under-20 international has made only a handful of first team appearances but could now move to the Premier League.
