Everton have made the decision to appoint Dan Rice as their new head of emerging talent.

The Toffees are revamping their football structure behind the scenes this season.

Per The Athletic, Rice will come in from Southampton, where he has done an excellent job as head of youth recruitment.

Rice will work on getting the club players from the ages of 16 to 21, and developing the ones who are already at their academy.

Everton know that bringing through more quality youth is necessary if they are to emerge from their present malaise without having to spend a fortune on signings.
