Redknapp confident of support from QPR chairman Fernandes

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is confident he retains the support of chairman Tony Fernandes.

QPR have dropped back into the bottom three after a run of two points from four games.

A defiant Redknapp said: "I spoke to Tony Fernandes yesterday, and all week, and he mentioned nothing of that nature to me.

"Until he does, I keep doing what I do and try to win matches.

"We have been doing well at home and if we had beaten Swansea here when we were leading in injury time we'd be six or seventh from bottom, that's how close it is.

"I take no notice of it [talk of losing his job]. I've got a great relationship with the owner and the shareholders and it's their decision. If they want to take a change of direction then that's their decision.

"They have given me great support, I have loved every minute of my time here. I want to stay here but if they decide otherwise, that's their decision and they're entitled to it.

"There's nothing I can do about that. Whatever they do, they do. There's no point losing sleep. One win can take us up places. I still have the hunger. I wouldn't be leaving my house at 5.30am this morning if I didn't, I'd roll over and go back to sleep.

"We are not far off where we're supposed to be. You wouldn't have to be clever to pick all the sides that are down there now at the start of the season."
