Real Sociedad coach Imanol delighted with Copa win - and Becker goal on debut

Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil was delighted with their Copa del Rey quarterfinal win at Celta Vigo.

La Real won 2-1 in Vigo with Sheraldo Becker scoring the winner on debut.

Imanol later said: "I am very, very happy and satisfied with what we have done, against a very good team in front of us, with a great coach and a great squad. What we have done has double value, but there is still a lot left, we have not done anything, because what we want is to reach the final.

"There is no point in getting here if you don't reach the final. We have taken an important step, but what we want is to reach the final.

"Of the last 12 games we have played 10 away from home and it is incredible how this team competes, their capacity for sacrifice, their pride, their character, their personality, whether they are more or less fortunate."

He was also asked about Martin Zubimendi, Becker and Jon Mikel Aramburu, three of the best performers of the game.

"Martín, believe me, until he returned from the warm-up I didn't know if he was going to compete. Yesterday, when he arrived, he said he was better, and today in the warm-up I told him that if he wasn't there he wouldn't play, but he told me he was well and then during the break he could endure.

"With Becker, I had no doubt when we signed him how good a player he is. You've already seen the impressive game he played. And with Jon Mikel, when I saw him I said I loved him with me training every day."
