Real Betis president Angel Haro says a new contract offer made to Guido Rodriguez has been withdrawn.

The midfielder is off contract at the end of the season.

Haro said, "At the time we made him an offer, an offer that has expired, if he wants to continue at the club we will have to sit down again and talk.

"Downward? No.

"Guido is a very committed guy, he is looking forward to returning as soon as possible, whether he continues at Betis or not, I am sure."

Haro also commented on Guido's response: "The player is not closed to talking. The days go by... Football is like that, when a player has less than six months left and you have been trying to renew for a year and the agent doesn't want to and ignores you for a long time, you may think that he doesn't renew ."
