Re-signed Arnautovic feels part of a family at Stoke

Marko Arnautovic was happy to commit four more years to Stoke City after signing a new deal on Wednesday.

The Austrian forward was the subject of interest from Everton earlier this week but has put doubts surrounding his Potters future to bed by putting pen to a new deal with the Staffordshire club.

Arnautovic admits that Stoke feels like a family to him which made it an easy decision for he and his family to stay on despite talk of big-money offers from elsewhere.

"For me personally it feels perfect because for a long time there have been talks with each other," the told Stoke's official YouTube channel.

"There were ups and downs but for me there was never fear or thinking I would leave Stoke because they have always given me a warm family.

"The fans have always bene behind me, that's why I like the club. For me and my family, we are very happy to sign the new contract and for us this was the first thing.

"Our decision from the first day was that we were going to sign the contract here and keep going on."

Asked if he had thoughts of leaving the Britannia Stadium, Arnautovic indicated that contract talks went on so long so he could get the best possible deal, not due to the fact he wanted out.

"That's why it took so long. There were other cubs who wanted to talk but my brother was always talking with Stoke and now everything is over," he added.

"Finally we agree and I can sign the contract."
