Palace due contract talks with seven senior players

Crystal Palace are ready to tie down several members of their squad who can leave on free transfers.

The Premier League club are safe from relegation and have opened talks with seven players out of contract this summer.

Among those they are speaking with is captain Joel Ward, with sporting director Dougie Freedman on the matter.

The Standard states that Nathaniel Clyne, James Tomkins, Jairo Riedewald, Nathan Ferguson and Remi Matthews all have uncertain futures.

Jeffrey Schlupp's contract does have a year extension that the club can activate.

Manager Oliver Glasner rewarded his Palace players with extra days off this week, as they picked up 10 points from their past four matches.
