Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew wants two new strikers signed this month.
Pardew insists he needs more firepower to win Palace's survival battle - and revealed he's willing to take a risk on someone not yet proven in the Premier League.
He said: "I'm hopeful there will be a striker or two arriving. They are always a gamble whichever striker you take.
"I have been very fortunate that most of my strikers have hit the ground running. From Martin Butler, Dean Aston, Bobby Zamora, Rickie Lambert at Southampton, Papiss Cisse at Newcastle and Demba Ba.
"They are all risks. They said you shouldn't sign Demba Ba. People told me he had one leg and couldn't do this and that. He was unbelievable for us.
"Cisse - people said is he going to crack it in the Premiers League? You give them belief and put them out there and hopefully they deliver."
