Crystal Palace midfielder Eberichi Eze is on track to sign a new contract.

The 25 year-old has been in talks over a new deal for some months and there is a confidence of a positive conclusion soon, says the London Evening Standard.

Eze was a target for Manchester City over the summer, but a deal failed to materialise.

Even after deadline day, rumours persisted about the England international and City.

But there's now a belief inside Palace that Eze will soon put pen to paper.
