Norwich City boss Paul Lambert hopes to soon speak with Aston Villa.
The Mail on Sunday says Lambert would welcome the chance to speak to Aston Villa about the manager's job after falling out with Norwich over summer spending plans.
His first move at Villa Park would be to try to sign Norwich striker Grant Holt, who had a shock transfer request turned down this week.
