Newcastle United and West Ham are going head-to-head for Atlanta attacker Miguel Almiron.
The 24-year-old Paraguay international, rated at £24m, has been tipped to make the transition from the MLS to the Premier League and will leave in January, says the Daily Mail.
He scored 12 goals in 23 appearances last season and his agent Daniel Campos was at St James' Park to take in Newcastle's 2-1 win over Bournemouth.
His agent said: "We saw Newcastle's party because we are in England.
"There are two or three clubs interested and we have been working in the UK."
