Newcastle and Tottenham are interested in Roma defender Roger Ibanez.

Sky Italia says both Premier League clubs are weighing up a move for Ibanez.

He made 51 appearances across all competitions last term.

The 23-year-old would cost £30m despite having an £80m release clause.

However, a summer move would see Ibanez leave Roma before he got the chance to help the club win their first Scudetto since 2001.

On his ambitions with Roma, Ibanez said last year: " [Win] Everything! But we have to try to do our best and try to win a Scudetto."
