Ayoze Perez says Newcastle United's come-from-behind victory over Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup showed how much the players care about the club.
The Magpies need another victory this weekend against fellow relegation strugglers Cardiff City.
And Perez thinks the players have plenty of fight left in them.
He told the Chronicle: "It was a long night.
"But at the end the result is the one that we all wanted and we are through to the next round.
"In terms of the game being physical the guys are really tired but that is what the competition is about and we must get on with it.
"We want to play in it. The best thing about the night was the result.
"Now we must focus on Saturday because it is the main game for us now.
"It is important to get that winning feeling back. There is nothing better than getting back to the dressing room after a win, it's just great.
"That is going to help us. It is a good feeling and now we must transfer it to Saturday's game against Cardiff."
