Newcastle's record signing Miguel Almiron is set to take part in his first training session after being held up by a work permit issue.
The 24-year-old had to travel to Paris on Monday to collect his visa, which sources say was only a "formality".
The issue had delayed Almiron's participation in training sessions following his arrival from Atlanta United on deadline day.
Toon forked out £20million for the attacking midfielder, eclipsing their previous record fee for Michael Owen in 2005.
Almiron will be unveiled to the media on Thursday and will have five days of training to put himself in contention for Monday night's clash with Wolves.
