Newcastle United are ready to try again for Hoffenheim striker Joelinton.
The Daily Mail says Toon owner Mike Ashley is prepared to release £36million for the powerful 22-year-old Hoffenheim forward but wants to avoid more protracted negotiations.
Newcastle first made their interest in Joelinton known in January and have maintained interest though Hoffenheim have been pushing for £40million.
Ashley is hoping to conclude talks with Sheffield Wednesday for Steve Bruce and his coaching staff on Monday and ideally would like to present his new manager with a striker to replace the departed Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon.
