Newcastle United set to offer Jack Colback to his former club Sunderland, according to reports from the Shields Gazette.

Colback has been completely frozen out from first team duties by manager Rafael Benitez this season.

And Newcastle United now desperate to offload the £40,000-a-week midfielder in order to reduce their wage bill.

Now in shock reports, claims are being made that United are hoping to offer Colback back to his former club Sunderland and a loan return to Wearside has been seen as a possibility for the 28-year-old.
