Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is confident Amanda Staveley's consortium are prepared to wait to complete their takeover.
ChronicleLive says Ashley is confident that the club's would-be buyers will stay around long enough to see the outcome of the club's legal fight.
News broke on Monday evening that "all parties" had agreed not to comment further after the arbitration case against the Premier League was delayed until "early 2022".
Staveley confirmed six days ago the bidding consortium, which consists of PCP Capital Partners, the Reuben brothers and main backers Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund were still at the table.
And it has emerged they remain undeterred by events this week.
Indeed, after waiting over a year for developments there is no immediate rush to walk away from talks now.
