Leganes midfielder Gabriel Pires has attracted a bid from Newcastle United.

Gabriel, 23, began his career at Juventus - but didn't make an appearance for the Turin-based giants.

He has a £6m release clause at Leganes.

Diario Gol says the Toon have lodged a bid to bring him to St James' Park.

Pires is also on the radar of Everton and West Ham.
