Newcastle United hero Olivier Bernard is confident Emmanuel Riviere will become a hero to the Toon Army.
Since signing for Monaco from Toulouse in February 2013, Rivière grabbed 10 in 19 starts while his goal record in during his career is 29 goals in 116 appearances in Ligue 1 has had some fans concerned.
But Bernard told the Evening Chronicle: "He is a fantastic player.
"I'd say to Newcastle fans, prepare to get blown away because he's quick. If you think somebody like Yoan Gouffran has pace wait until you see Rivière.
"He did not play so much at Monaco because he had Radamel Falcao in front of him.
"And when he did come off the bench more often than not, he scored."
And when asked which player he is similar to, Bernard said: "He is a bit like Loic Remy.
"If you deliver the right through balls to him he will break through and get goals."
