Newcastle United have dumped Hatem Ben Arfa into their development squad.
The Mirror says Ben Arfa has been thrown on the scrap-heap by manager Alan Pardew in a lingering personality clash that escalated last week when the United boss demanded he show more "professionalism".
The stand-off is going to hit Mike Ashley's club in the pocket by sacrificing a potential £5m transfer fee and having to pay £2m in wages for a player training with the development squad.
The winger has had offers from clubs in Europe, but none has come close to matching his current deal.
