Newcastle United are counting on a busy deadline day today.

The Mirror says Atlanta attacker Miguel Almiron is completing a medical on Tyneside.

Almiron was boss Rafa Benitez ' top target for January, and represents a huge boost to the club's chances of surviving in the Premier League.

Anthony Limbombe the Nantes winger is in talks to join on loan.

Benfica midfielder Andreas Samaris and Monaco left back Antonio Barreca are also lined up.
