Newcastle United are interested in Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross.
The Daily Mail says Toon boss Alan Pardew sees Shawcross as a possible future mainstay in the heart of his defence.
But it could take the best part of £10m to prise the 26 year-old lynchpin away from his spiritual home here at the Britannia.
