Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce is delighted with the state of his team going into the international break.

Following Saturday's win, Bruce now gets the chance to reflect on two wins in a row in the Premier League with the international break now upon us.

When asked what he plans to do, Bruce said: "I haven't even thought about it.

"I didn't want to take anything for granted, but it's important that all the lads can have a few days away.

"The internationals are away, of course, and as I said, we've got a long build-up to Aston Villa, so we can have a few days off this week and go to work next week."
