New Villarreal coach Quique Setien was pleased with their Europa Conference League draw against Hapoel.

The 2-2 draw marked Setien's first game in charge. Samu Chukwueze and Arnaut Danjuma struck for the hosts.

He said, “I am quite satisfied with what I have seen. Many of the concepts have been clearly seen from what we had talked about, it is true that there have been some imbalances that we have to study carefully.

"They wanted to go 100% and sometimes you have to temporize a while. Many players have surprised me because I did not expect them to work so well. They are great footballers and are capable of developing. Obviously there are things to improve, this happens.

“I take it as it should be carried, with optimism. It is true that we are not in the best conditions, because there are injured players and others are not at their best because they come from long periods.

"I liked the team. There are things to improve and correct. Maybe at another time generating less you can be effective and win games. Today we have arrived well, but the game has been interrupted a lot. These are factors that must be taken into account."
