Mjallby striker Fenger surprised ex-OB teammate Minteh made Newcastle move

Mjallby striker Max Fenger has recalled playing with Yankbua Minteh at OB.

Minteh left OB this month for Newcastle United and has since signed for Feyenoord on a season-long loan.

Fenger told Bold: "When he came to Denmark and only needed two trials to get on the U19 team, it was first of all wild, and then he got straight up to the first team.

"But it was a bit funny because you could see that there was something, but at the same time it didn't seem like the most obvious thing. He had his explosiveness and his left foot.

"All of a sudden things went fast, but it wasn't clear from the start that he was going to be this big sale for OB, but that's what it ended up being. What he achieved in such a short time is great.

"I thought then that OB would probably have difficulty keeping hold of him, but that it would be Newcastle and then Feyenoord, I had not seen coming.

"Sometimes it just goes fast, and you have to say that I played with Yankuba...!"
