Micah Hamilton makes Man City squad for Cup defeat

Manchester City youngster Micah Hamilton was named in the club's senior squad for the first time this week.

The youngster, who has come through the academy since being with the Under-9s, was in the squad to play Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup third round.

While City did not get a positive result, as they crashed out of the competition through a 1-0 loss, many young players got a chance to shine.

Even though he was on the bench for the game, Hamilton did not come onto the field.

City only used three subs in the game, with Jeremy Doku, Matheus Nunes, and Phil Foden coming on to try and rescue the game.

However, Newcastle won the contest and went through to the fourth round thanks to an Alexander Isak goal.
