Mendes admits offers for Benfica pair Neves and Silva: But Rui Costa...

Agent Jorge Mendes says Joao Neves and Antonio Silva will be staying with Benfica this month.

Neves has been linked with Manchester United, but Benfica recently denied negotiations are ongoing with the English big club.

Meanwhile, Benfica centre-back António Silva, 20, has been watched by Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Silva is tied until 2027, while Neves is under contract until 2028. Neither will leave this winter, according to Mendes.

"There have been proposals for João Neves and António Silva, but the door is not open," Mendes told Record.

"They will stay at Benfica until the end of the season, that's 100 percent guaranteed... then Rui Costa (the president) will decide what to do."
