Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn was pleased with their 1-1 draw against Chelsea.

Anwar El Ghazi cancelled out Olivier Giroud's opener for Chelsea.

McGinn stated afterwards, “It was a very even game. Chelsea are a good side. Not many teams come here and get a result. Especially after the last couple of days it's a good result.

“We've shown great character this season. We've coupled that with ability and determination, everyone's grafting until the last second and fighting for every ball.

“Last season we might have come away with a defeat, but we stuck at it and got the point.

“During this tough year I think us as footballers have been very fortunate doing what we love. Maybe it's a bit unfortunate without supporters, but there are plenty of people unable to go about their daily routine."
