Pep Guardiola has admitted that getting to manage in England is a dream come true for him.

Guardiola already had a glittering managerial career before arriving at Manchester City, winning everything at Barcelona and experiencing success at Bayern Munich.

But he knew that the Premier League was one competition where he would be tested the most.

"I'm fortunate to be here in your country, in England," said Guardiola at a Football Writers' Association event where he was honored.

"It's incredible, it was a dream from a little boy for a young manager to come here to your country and be a manager here.

"It's a dream come true."
