Man Utd great Jaap Stam in line to replace Bilic at West Ham

Manchester United great and current Reading boss Jaap Stam has emerged as the favourite to replace Slaven Bilic at West Ham United, according to a report from The Sun.

The report claims that the Croatian's job has come under threat following a run of three consecutive defeats which has left the Hammers 12th in the Premier League table.

Co-chairman David Sullivan apologised to club fans following the home defeat to Leicester City last weekend, and it is expected that the club owners will assess Bilic's position in the summer.

Meanwhile, Stam has been doing a good job in Berkshire after taking charge of the Royals in the summer. He has them sitting fifth in the Championship and firmly in the mix for a play-off spot.
