Manchester United are close to signing Matteo Darmian from Torino.

According to GianlucaDiMarzio.com, the Red Devils have 'accelerated their efforts' to sign the 25-year old full-back with positive talks held late on Monday night.

It appears as though United are willing to pay the €18million (£12.7m) fee that Torino have set for Italy international Darmian.

Louis van Gaal is apparently determined to land Darmian this summer and the recent reports indicate that his search for a quality right-back has quite possibly come to an end.
