Sampdoria goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone has received an encouraging message from Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes played with Falcone at Samp and is happy for the keeper as he establishes himself as first-choice this season under coach Marco Giampaolo.

"You've worked hard and you waited for your moment in silence, always humble, now you deserve everything that you are achieving," posted Fernandes on social media.

Falcone now has only eight career appearances in Serie A, the Italian top flight. He came through the Samp youth system, though has had spells out on-loan.
