Manchester City midfielder Oscar Bobb has revealed the major influence fellow Norwegian Erling Haaland has had on him.

Bobb signed a new contract with City on Monday.

On Haaland, he told the club's website: "It helps a lot [having Erling in the set-up].

“It's nice to have him, to have someone to talk to, to ask for advice, everything.

“He's achieved a lot of the things I dream of achieving so having him around, helping me develop and just helping me settle in this year, it's helped me a lot."

Bobb also said: "It's amazing playing with some of my idols growing up. It's a dream come true.

“It's strange talking to my friends back home and they always ask 'how is it, how is it?'. In a way it is crazy but you do get used to it.

“You start seeing them as people and not stars. And that's nice.

“I think of course you build that trust over time. But every day training together, it helps a lot.

“I think it's about how much you demand it and want the ball as well.

“I think I'm getting better at wanting it more and being more confident. But yes it's great to see.

“I was training quite a few times with the first team last year. And even though there is a skill gap, you could say, I did feel I could contribute or help with some things and I feel every day in training I'm getting better and more used to it."
