Manchester City remain in the hunt for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Guardian says City are preparing a second bid for Koulibaly.
City's first bid of around €60m (£53m) was €15m short of Napoli's valuation of the defender, who has also been linked with rivals United.
But the Etihad side are hopeful of agreeing a deal with an improved offer in the next few days.
Yesterday on local radio, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis complained about City's negotiating tactics regarding the Koulibaly deal.
